Special Features

Dear Readers,

The fall 2007 issue is the first time that GW Discourse has included new Special Features as part of its content. As the magazine continues to grow and expand, we hope to include more of these features in upcoming issues.

This issue features two exciting interviews with Ambassador Claudia Fritsche of Liechtenstein and Leon Fuerth, Vice President Al Gore’s former national security advisor. Discourse staff had the opportunity to interview these two figures.

In pop-culture, the issue also features a review of the movie All the President’s Men, All Fall Down by Gary Sick, Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell, and a review of DC hot spot Kramer Books. We hope you enjoy what our writers had to say and will add your own thoughts to the reader discussion board.

This is also the first time that Discourse has partnered with several university organizations to bring you their perspectives. The Duel features the GW College Democrats and the GW College Republicans portraying their side of an issue or question we assign them. The Roosevelt Institution, a student think tank, is also featuring a policy proposal regarding education.

Lastly, please take a look at Closing Thoughts written by Discourse Staff Writer Shannon Holmes. This feature brings a personal look to achieving the American Dream.

On behalf of the entire editorial board, we hope you enjoy the new features. If you have any questions, comments, or would like to know more on parternships, please let me know.

Sincerely,
